Joshua de la Cruz has been involved with wedding photography since 1989. Photography was first taken up as a wonderful hobby like many happen to get into it, but it was soon taken to a professional level with delacruz photography.

Though I aim to give the utmost in satisfaction, every wedding or photographic event is as exciting as when I first started. My main mission is to keep it fun while capturing every detail to gather the full story of the day. I am very good at keeping all at ease and relaxed and therefore natural to yield easy flattering candids and wonderful formals that are a joy like they should be.

My wedding packages start at $800 when only a few hours are necessary for the simple and precious. I supply high-end custom albums mostly from Graphi Studio in Italy because of their incredible craftsmanship. These artistic book style albums price at around $2000 but vary with the variety of album types that I offer. The montage albums are produced with great care and with each client's specific input for a truly custom and "one of a kind" creation. In addition I supply flush-cut parent albums, engagement photos, signing boards and special image presentations for your thank you notes. All comes at reasonable prices. My packages are all inclusive  supplying online or printed proofs, service hours, enlargements and custom albums. They are also easy to understand, no costly surprises at the end.

I got into digital photography in early 2000 and since then I have always kept up with the quickly growing new methods and techniques but I always took advantage of Medium Format Film for its incredible photographic power. I still use this equipment on occasion but digital is the mainstream for me now too always packing upwards of 50 megapixels of resolution to each event. I enjoy infrared photography for its unique dreamy images that are especially fitting for wedding scenes. I started IR photography with film but I now shoot this totally digital with the same romantic qualities.

I mostly serve San Diego County but have always been open to LA, Riverside and professional events all over the US and in other countries. I have an affinity for LDS Temple sealings which I especially enjoy. Most of my weddings at the San Diego LaJolla temple are topped off with a wonderful bit of California Beach scenes near La Jolla Cove.

Commercial photography is something I have enjoyed over the years too. I have done custom work for global corporations such as General Electric, Osmonics, Desalination Systems, Filtration Engineering, Nitto Denko as well as local businesses shooting people, portraits, products, real estate and events. In addition I produce complete model portfolios for individuals. My commercial service comes with care to capture every client's special needs and can even come with same-day-service when in a bind (made possible by the digital age).
